Ingredients
- pork chops 2, boneless, fat scored and seasoned
- soy sauce 4 tbsp
- brown sugar 2 tbsp
- sesame oil 2 tsp
- dried chilli flakes a pinch
- star anise 1
- garlic 1 clove, crushed
- ginger 1 tbsp of finely grated
- pak choy 3-4 heads, halved and steamed to serve
- sesame seeds a pinch, to serve
Method

Step 1
Heat a non-stick frying pan to hot. Use tongs to hold each pork chop, fat-side down, until it has started to render and become crisp and golden.

Step 2
Once the fat is crisp, sear the chops for 3 minutes on each side until golden brown.

Step 3
Mix the rest of the ingredients (except the pak choy and sesame seeds) and pour into the pan.

Step 4
Turn the heat down a little then keep cooking and turning until the chops are glazed and sticky.

Step 5
Serve on top of the steamed pak choy with a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
