This weekend, on the 13th and 14th June, foodies will flock to Soho for the Soho Food Feast. The event will benefit and raise money for Soho Parish Primary, a local state school with 149 children located in Great Windmill Street. New and established restaurants participating include: Kitty Fishers, Barrafina, Dean Street Townhouse, Hix, Smoking Goat, 10 Heddon Street, Tredwell’s. Quo Vadis, Blacklock, Kopapa, Koya Bar, Holborn Dining Room and Ducksoup.

Margot Henderson (of Rochelle Canteen) and Anita Moir (Soho Parish’s resident cook) set up the event five years ago. It has grown from a small school fundraiser to a unique and exciting two days of food tasting, cake baking and vegetable sculpturing for local residents, families and food lovers and much more besides. On each day there will be 26 restaurants cooking and tickets can be bought from sohofoodfeast.co.uk.

The menu so far has dishes such as crisp pig heads from Arbutus, gelato from Gelupo, ox heart buns from Trullo and ‘Dead Hippie’, plus halloumi mushroom sliders from Meatliqour. The restaurant The French House will be running the bar and other drinks on offer are Pizza Pilgrim’s sohocello, The Travelling Gin co’s G&Ts and Ceviche’s pisco sours.
