Cuban chilli sofrito turkey (pictured above)


sunflower or vegetable oil 1 tbsp

onion 1, sliced

green pepper ½, sliced

yellow pepper ½, sliced

left-over cooked turkey 200g, shredded

Santa Maria Cuban Chilli Sofrito Sauce 200g sachet

coriander a handful, chopped

Santa Maria Arroz con Coco y Chile Coconut & Chilli Rice or flour tortillas

soured cream to serve (optional)

Santa Maria Jalapeños to serve (optional)


Heat the oil in a frying pan and add the onion and peppers. Cook on high for 3-4 minutes, stirring, or until they start to soften and brown slightly. Add the turkey and Santa Maria Cuban Chilli Sofrito Sauce to the pan, stir and cook for another few minutes or until the sauce is bubbling. Sprinkle over the coriander.

Serve the turkey mixture with rice or tortillas and a dollop of soured cream to cool it down, or Santa Maria Jalapeños to dial up the heat. Sprinkle over the coriander before serving.

Colombian turkey sub


This is delicious served with Santa Maria Medium Salsa.

sunflower or vegetable oil 1 tbsp

left-over cooked turkey 150g, shredded

Santa Maria Colombian Albóndigas Sauce 1 sachet

sub rolls or small baguettes 2

cheddar a handful, grated

Santa Maria Jalapeños 2 tbsp of drained


Step 1

Heat the oil in a frying pan and add the turkey. Gently fry until warmed, then add the Colombian Albóndigas Sauce and stir well until turkey is coated in the sauce and heated through. Remove from the heat once bubbling.

Step 2

Heat the grill to medium/high. Slice open the subs or baguettes, put on a baking tray and fill with the turkey mixture. Sprinkle over the grated cheese and Santa Maria Jalapeños, then put the subs under the grill and cook until the cheese has melted.
