Start every day the right way with this easy to make granola. Serve with milk or yoghurt, and plenty of fresh fruit, for a healthy breakfast.



  • bran 100g
  • jumbo porridge oats 150g
  • sesame seeds 25g
  • walnuts 100g, chopped
  • sunflower oil  3 tbsp
  • maple syrup 6 tbsp
  • dried fruit 200g 


  • Step 1

    Mix the bran, jumbo porridge oats, sesame seeds and chopped walnuts in a non-stick roasting tin. Drizzle over the  sunflower oil and maple syrup, and toss.

    Bake for 20–30 minutes at 180c/fan 160c/gas 4, stirring once, until crunchy. Cool then stir in the dried fruit and store in an airtight container. Serve with milk or yoghurt.
