What is apple cider vinegar?

Made from fermented apple juice, apple cider vinegar has a rounded flavour and can be bought in raw, unfiltered form, made with mother of vinegar. This type tends to be cloudier than the filtered varieties. Apple cider vinegar can be used in pickles, chutneys, sauces and dressings, as well as desserts and drinks, including shrubs.
