Made with red wine and port, this tangy and indulgent cranberry sauce makes a perfect accompaniment to your Christmas turkey or goose.

  • red wine 300ml
  • port 100ml
  • golden caster sugar 100g
  • star anise 1
  • cloves 2
  • cranberries 500g


  • Step 1

    Put everything except the cranberries in a pan, bring to a simmer then cook until reduced by about ⅔. Add the cranberries and cook until they start getting jammy. Serve warm or cold.
