Turmeric and mango lassi

Turmeric (organic in particular) is thought to have anti-inflamatory and immunity-boosting properties. Add it to milk, yogurt or water to make what’s known as golden milk. We’ve made it with sweet mango and subtle spices to make a chai-like lassi. Black pepper and ginger are also high in antioxidants.



  • 300g
  • ice cubes a handful
  • honey or maple syrup 1 tsp
  • organic ground turmeric 3 tsp
  • mango ½, stoned and diced
  • ground cinnamon a pinch
  • ground black pepper ¼ tsp
  • ginger peeled and grated to make 1 tbsp
  • cardamom or bee pollen or chia seeds or ground spices to serve


  • Step 1

    Tip everything into a blender and whizz until smooth and creamy. Pour into glasses, and top with a sprinkling of bee pollen, chia seeds or a pinch of cinnamon or ground cardamom seeds if you like.
