Ingredients
- red cabbage 1, quartered and shredded
- Bramley apple 1, peeled and grated
- red onion 1, halved and sliced
- balsamic vinegar 2 tbsp
- port a glass
- dark muscovado sugar 3 tbsp
- Chinese 5 spice 2 tsp
- cinnamon stick 1
- butter 100g, cut into cubes
Method

Step 1
Heat the oven to 150c/fan 130c/gas 2. Put all the ingredients in an ovenproof casserole with a lid. Put over the heat, stir well then cook for 5 minutes until the butter has melted and everything is well mixed. Cover, transfer to the oven and cook for 2 hours. Season before serving.
