One-pot pasta with anchovies and tenderstem broccoli

This one-pot pasta recipe is not only low calorie but low cost, too. It's simple and easy to put together; plus it's packed full of punchy flavours. If you don't have fusilli in your cupboard then wholemeal rotini works just as well



  • wholemeal fusilli 350g
  • tenderstem broccoli 250g, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • garlic
 2 cloves, crushed
  • anchovies in olive oil 4, chopped
  • chilli flakes a pinch
  • olive oil
  • parmesan grated, to serve (optional)


  • Step 1

    Put all the ingredients except the parmesan in a wide, shallow pan with 4 tbsp olive oil, 1 tsp salt and 950ml water.

  • Step 2

    Bring to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes, covered, stirring regularly, until the pasta is tender and the cooking liquid has become saucy.

  • Step 3

    Serve with parmesan, if you like.
