Spiced paneer skewers with mango, chilli and mint salsa

Serve these spiced paneer skewers with mango, chilli and mint salsa with naans and a spoonful of natural yogurt for an easy, vegetarian meal that delivers big flavours.



  • groundnut oil 1 tbsp
  • ginger a small chunk, finely grated
  • ground cumin 1 tsp
  • ground coriander ½ tsp
  • paneer 220g, cut into cubes
  • green pepper 1, cut into chunks
  • mango 1 small, diced
  • red chilli 1, finely chopped
  • mint a handful of leaves, plus a few leaves
  • lime ½, plus wedges to serve
  • naans 2 small, warmed to serve
  • natural yogurt to serve


  • Step 1

    Mix the oil, ginger and spices in a bowl. Add the paneer and pepper and toss, then leave for 10 minutes. In a separate bowl, toss the mango, most of the chilli and the chopped mint with a squeeze of lime and season. 

  • Step 2

    Heat the grill to high. Skewer the paneer and pepper then grill for 6-8 minutes, turning until the paneer is golden. Scatter with more chilli and the mint leaves. Serve with the salsa, warm naans, yogurt and lime wedges.
