Scrambled egg, smoked trout and chive bagels

Bored of cornflakes? Get up 15 minutes earlier and try our best breakfast recipe: smoked trout on toasted bagels, topped with scrambled eggs and chive. Sure to keep you satisfied until lunch!



  • bagels 2, split (use multi-grain for a low Gi)
  • eggs 4
  • smoked trout 50g slices
  • butter 25g
  • chives a few, snipped


  • Step 1

    Toast the bagel halves. Melt the butter in a pan, then add the eggs and heat slowly, stirring until softly scrambled and creamy.

  • Step 2

    Put 2 bagel halves onto each plate, drape over the smoked trout then pile up the scrambled egg. Scatter over the chives and serve.
