Mini jackets with crème fraîche

Entertain friends and family on New Year's Eve with these adorable mini jacket potatoes with crème fraîche. If you're feeling creative, add extra toppings for a truly delicious canapé.



  • new potatoes 24
  • olive oil
  • salt flakes
  • crème fraîche
  • roe or snipped chives


  • Step 1

    heat the oven to 200c/fan 180c/gas 6. Toss the new potatoes in olive oil and sprinkle with salt flakes. Roast for 40 minutes or until they feel soft when pressed.

    Cool briefly, then cut a cross in the top of each and squeeze the sides so they open up. Just before serving, spoon a dollop of crème fraîche into each and top with roe or snipped chives.
