Ingredients

  • brown sugar 250g
  • strong black coffee 250ml
  • vanilla extract ½-1 tsp (optional)

Method

  • Step 1

    In a pan, combine the sugar and coffee over a gentle heat, stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla, if using.

  • Step 2

    Cool completely and sieve into a sterilised bottle or jar. Keep in the fridge for up to a month.
