Green beans with soured cream dressing

Green beans with soured cream, bacon and hazelnuts makes for a delicious, crunchy side dish and takes less than 30 minutes to prepare. You could also have this as a salad for lunch.



  • green beans 450g, tails cut off
  • oil
  • bacon 2 rashers, finely sliced
  • hazelnuts a handful, roughly chopped
  • soured cream 4 tbsp


  • Step 1

    Cook the green beans in lightly salted boiling water for 4-5 minutes, or until cooked but still al dente. Meanwhile heat a little oil in a frying pan and cook the bacon until crisp, add the hazelnuts and cook until browned. Drain the beans and toss them in the soured cream with plenty of seasoning. Scatter with bacon and hazelnuts.
