  • 4 large scallops
    cleaned (keep the shells)
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • ½ shallot
    finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp capers
    roughly chopped
  • 1 lemon
    juiced
  • 15g flat-leaf parsley
    finely chopped

Method

  • step 1

    Heat the Ninja Woodfire on the grill setting, set the temperature to medium and set the timer for 5 mins. Put each scallop into a shell with 1 tbsp of the butter and some seasoning. Put the scallops in the shell on the grill pan and close the lid.

  • step 2

    When the halfway timer beeps, open the lid and check the scallops. The butter should be nearly golden and the scallops nearly cooked through depending on their size – cut one open to check. They should be slightly glistening in the middle.

  • step 3

    Meanwhile, mix the shallot, capers, lemon juice and parsley together in a bowl, then spoon over the scallops and serve.
