Baked goat’s cheese with toasted brioche

Creamy goats cheese is baked on top of tomato chutney and served on top of sweet brioche. This quick and easy dish looks impressive and is our best veggie starter.



  • antipasti marinated onions 6, halved (look for Waitrose or Sacla borretone onions)
  • tomato chutney 2 heaped tsp
  • soft goat’s cheese 100g
  • olive oil
  • brioche toasted, to serve


  • Step 1

    Put the onions in the bottom of 2 ramekins and add 1 tsp of chutney to each. Add half of the goat’s cheese to each and drizzle with olive oil.

    Grill under a medium heat for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and browned. You need to give this a decent amount of time or the onions won’t warm through serve with the brioche.
