Pork and mushroom stroganoff

This tasty paprika-spiced Hungarian stroganoff takes only 20 minutes to make, is cooked in one pot and is best served with wild rice on the side.

  • pork escalope 1, sliced into strips
  • mushrooms 4, sliced
  • olive oil
  • butter
  • smoked paprika 1 tsp
  • dry sherry 4 tbsp
  • soured cream 142ml tub
  • cooked white and wild rice to serve


  • Step 1

    Fry the pork and then the mushrooms in a little oil and butter until cooked. Add the paprika and fry for 1 minute, then add the sherry and bubble until it has evaporated. Stir in the soured cream and season well. Sprinkle with another pinch of paprika.
