Check out our homemade rye bread recipe to use for the toasts.

  • 5 radishes
    sliced
  • 2 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp caster sugar
  • 2 tbsp soured cream
  • 1 tbsp horseradish cream or sauce
  • 2 slices rye bread
    toasted
  • 1 large fillet peppered smoked mackerel
    shredded
  • a few fronds  dill
  • to serve salad

Method

  • step 1

    Put the radishes in a bowl. Mix the vinegar and sugar, season and pour over the radishes. Leave for 10 minutes.

  • step 2

    Mix the cream and horseradish and season. Spread over the rye bread.

  • step 3

    Top with the mackerel, the drained radish and some dill. Serve with a salad.
