Hangover Bloody Mary

The perfect cure for that Boxing Day hangover. Serve this Bloody Mary at brunch to blow away the cobwebs from the overindulgence of Christmas day.



  • chilli flakes a pinch
  • lemon juice 12.5ml
  • sherry 12.5ml
  • good-quality tomato juice 100ml
  • Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce  5 dashes
  • vodka 50ml
  • lemon a slice
  • smoked sweet paprika
  • ice cubed 


  • Step 1

    In a cocktail shaker, put a pinch of chilli flakes with the lemon juice, sherry, tomato juice, lea & perrins worcestershire sauce and a pinch of salt. Shake well, then add the vodka and shake again.

    Run a slice of lemon round the rim of a highball glass, dip the rim into some smoked sweet paprika, fill with cubed ice, and strain the drink over.
