Chicken sesame noodles recipe

Chicken sesame noodles

Forget the take-away on a Saturday night, this chicken noodle dish is super quick and much more healthy. The sesame seeds add a great crunch and flavour to the dish.



  • egg noodles 100g
  • sesame oil 2 tbsp
  • chicken breast 2, cut into thin strips
  • onion 1, sliced
  • garlic 1 clove, finely chopped
  • beansprouts 150g
  • dark soy sauce 2 tbsp


  • Step 1

    Cook the noodles according to pack instructions. Drain, return to the pan and stir through 1 tbsp sesame oil and leave covered to one side.

  • Step 2

    In a large pan or wok, stir-fry the chicken in the remaining oil over a high heat until starting to brown. Add the onion and garlic and continue cooking for a few more minutes.

  • Step 3

    Add in the beansprouts, a splash of water and the soy sauce. Stir through the noodles and mix, cooking for a couple more minutes then serve.
