Carrot and radish salad
A crisp, crunchy side salad which is a great budget choice for feeding a crowd or a big family gathering. Shredded carrot and radish get a fresh Asian-style dressing with rice vinegar and sesame seeds.

Radishes and butter are a perfect match and make a stunning little bite. You will need a terrine tin or small tin

Put the butter into a bowl and stir a few times to loosen. Microwave for a few seconds to make sure it’s very soft and easy to work with if you need to.
Tip in the radishes, dill and lemon zest, and a crack of black pepper. Mix well.
Line a terrine tin or small tin with baking paper and spoon in the mixture, packing it into the edges with a spatula. Smooth over the top and chill for at least 3 hrs until set.
Remove the terrine from the tin and slice into thin pieces. Serve on the cooled toasts, sprinkled with a little salt.
