Spicy prawn fajitas

Make your own paprika-laced prawn fajitas in less than half an hour for a punchy midweek meal

  • groundnut oil 1 tbsp
  • onion 1, sliced
  • red pepper 1, sliced
  • raw peeled king prawns 400g
  • smoked paprika 1⁄2 tsp
  • garlic salt 1⁄2 tsp
  • ground coriander 1⁄2 tsp
  • mild chilli powder 1⁄2 tsp
  • corn or flour tortillas 8, warmed
  • soured cream 150ml
  • pickled jalapeños to serve
  • guacamole to serve
  • hot sauce to serve


  • Step 1

    Heat the oil in large non-stick frying pan over a high heat. Fry the onion and pepper until the veg softens and has started to colour and char at the edges. Scoop out of the pan then add the prawns and another splash of oil. Fry until just pink then add all the spices and toss. Return the onion and pepper to heat through. Serve with warm tortillas, soured cream, guacamole and hot sauce.
