Try these individual twists on a tiramisu, or make our classic Italian tiramisu recipe here.
If you prefer you can make it in one large dish instead of 8 small dishes.
Ingredients
- black coffee 100ml, freshly made
- amaretto 1 tsp
- sponge fingers 16
- eggs 3
- golden granulated sugar 3 tbsp
- mascarpone 250g
- good quality dark chocolate 1 bar, grated
- amaretti biscuits a few, crumbled
- vanilla extract 1 tsp
Method
-
Step 1
Mix the coffee with the amaretto. Soak each finger individually, not letting them go soggy. Put 2 biscuits at the bottom of each of 8 small glass dishes. Break them up to fit them if you need to.
-
Step 2
Separate your eggs and beat the yolks with the granulated sugar until the mixture goes a light-yellow colour. Beat in the mascarpone.
-
Step 3
In another bowl whisk the egg whites until they form stiff peaks. Fold this mixture into the mascarpone and yolk mix and then spoon the mixture on top of the biscuits.
-
Step 4
Decorate the top of the mixture with the grated dark chocolate and the crumbled amaretti biscuits. Cover each dish with clingfilm and chill overnight or for several hours.
