Steamed fish with ginger and orange

  • serves 2
  • Easy

It only takes 5 ingredients to make this healthy supper for two. Delicate sea bass fillets are steamed with ginger, garlic and orange then finished with coriander. Serve with a big bowl of wilted greens for a low-fat dinner.

  • oil
  • sea bass or bream fillets 2
  • root ginger 2 slices, finely shredded
  • garlic 1 clove, sliced
  • orange 1, zested and juiced
  • coriander a handful

  • Step 1

Lightly oil a piece of baking parchment the size of a dinner plate. Put the fish fillet skin-side down in the centre and scatter over some ginger, garlic, orange zest and orange juice.

Put in a steamer basket (it doesn’t matter if the parcel flips up a bit at the edges), cover with the lid and steam for 5 minutes, more if the fish is big. Serve with coriander scattered over.
