Baked alaska with honeyed figs

This is a take on the viral honey butter toast from Arôme bakery – it’s great as a speedy snack or part of a breakfast spread

Heat the grill to high. Put the butter, honey, sugar and a small pinch of salt in a small bowl. Use a spatula to beat together to a smooth paste.
Spread onto the slices of bread all the way to the corners, put onto a foil-lined baking tray, then grill for 4-5 mins or until golden and bubbling. Use tongs to flip the slices and cook for another 3-4 mins. Leave to cool completely on a wire rack.
Serve topped with yogurt and berries or hot coffee for dunking.
