Karan Gokani

Karan grew up in Mumbai and moved to England in 2005 to study law at the University of Cambridge. He spent time in professional kitchens in his spare time before pursuing a career in hospitality, travelling through India and Sri Lanka to immerse himself in the food and culture. He is the co-founder and creative director of Sri Lankan restaurant group Hoppers in London. Karan is also the author of Hoppers: The Cookbook, and has written many recipes and travel features about Sri Lankan and southern Indian cooking for publications such as The Sunday Times, The Telegraph and The Guardian. Karan's TV appearances include Sunday Brunch, Great British Chefs and more.
