Alexina Anatole

Alexina is a writer, chef and supper club host based in London. After reaching the final of MasterChef in 2021 she made a brave career change from the trading floor to food. Her cookbooks on flavour, Bitter and Sweet, are published by Penguin and have received critical acclaim from the likes of Nigella Lawson, Waterstones and Rukmini Iyer. Meanwhile, her Substack newsletter, Small Wins, is all about thoughtful ways to improve your cooking. Alexina has appeared in a variety of shows including BBC One’s Saturday Kitchen, Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch and Radio 4’s The Food Programme and regularly returns to guest judge on BBC’s MasterChef. Beyond the books and television work, Alexina also runs sell-out events including intimate supper clubs and creative pop-ups such as Cocoa POP, a celebration of all things chocolate. Alexina is of mixed heritage: the granddaughter of chicken farmers from Cambridgeshire and Saint Lucian grandparents who arrived in London during the Windrush movement. She grew up in Paris and has travelled extensively, all of which results in an eclectic and thoughtful cooking style that, like her, reflects a mix of cultures and inspirations.
