  • 2 tuna steaks
  • 1 tsp black peppercorns
    coarsely ground or cracked
  • 150g soba noodles or wheat noodles
    cooked following the packet instructions
  • 2 spring onions
    shredded
  • 1 tbsp groundnut oil
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 clove garlic
    grated
  • grated to make 1 tbsp ginger

Method

  • step 1

    Rub the tuna with the black pepper and sear in a hot nonstick pan for 1 minute on each side, you just want to cook the very outside. Rest for a couple of minutes and then slice into strips. Put the noodles into 2 bowls and add half the tuna strips to each. Top with a pile of spring onion shreds. Mix the remaining ingredients together and spoon over the tuna and noodles.
