Ingredients

  • a coin-sized piece ginger
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 30ml sloe gin
  • 25ml (pick a honeyed-style one like Highland Park 12) whisky
  • 1 egg
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters
  • ice
  • to serve nutmeg

Method

  • STEP 1

    Crush the ginger and honey in the shaker. Add the other ingredients and shake without rice, then shake with ice and double strain into a chilled sherry glass. Garnish with fresh nutmeg.
