Linguine with smoky paprika prawns

This hot and spicy seafood pasta is super quick and easy to make. Coming in at just under 500 calories per serving, it's also a great low cal mid-week meal idea



  • linguine 150g
  • garlic 1 clove, crushed
  • olive oil
  • chilli flakes a good pinch
  • smoked paprika 1/4 tsp
  • raw peeled prawns 200g
  • lemon 1/2, juiced
  • flat-leaf parsley a handful, chopped


  • Step 1

    Cook the linguine in boiling salted water until tender. Drain, keeping a cup of the cooking water.

  • Step 2

    Meanwhile, cook the garlic gently in 2 tbsp olive oil for 3 minutes. Add the chilli flakes and paprika and stir for a minute then tip in the prawns. Cook for 2-3 minutes until pink and just cooked through.

  • Step 3

    Add the lemon juice, drained linguine and a few tbsp of the pasta cooking water. Season and toss everything together, then stir through the parsley and serve.
