Romesco sauce

Pair roasted red peppers with smoked paprika, tomatoes and toasted almonds to create a sharp-sweet sauce for serving with steak, roasted salmon and grain salads

  • roasted red peppers 1 jar
  • red chilli 1, chopped
  • plum tomato 1, chopped
  • garlic ½ clove
  • blanched almonds 2 tbsp, toasted
  • hot smoked paprika ½ tsp
  • red wine vinegar 1 tbsp
  • olive oil 2 tbsp


  • Step 1

    Tip all the ingredients into a small blender and whizz until combined and mostly smooth.

  • Step 2

    If it seems too thick, add a little water and blend again until saucy.
