Perk up your lunchbox with our quick and easy savoury sandwich spreads from jazzed up egg mayo to a moreish greek spread with crumbly feta and olives

Check out these quick and easy bagel toppings and filling ideas. Each recipe makes enough for two servings. You can either make your own bagels or use shop-bought.

Cheesy bagel topping

Put 100g grated cheddar in a bowl with ½ stir finely diced celery, 4 finely chopped spring onions, 1 finely grated carrot and 1 tbsp chopped chives.
Add 2 tbsp mayonnaise, season and mix well.
Use to fill bagels, rolls or bread.

Tex-mex egg mayo bagel topping

Put 2 chopped hard-boiled eggs in a bowl and add 1 tbsp chopped pickled jalapeños, 2 tbsp diced red pepper, 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander, ¼ finely chopped red onion and 2 tbsp mayonnaise.
Mix and season.
Use to fill bagels, rolls or bread.

Greek salad spread bagel topping

Mash 75g crumbled feta with 1½ tbsp greek yogurt.
Stir in ¼ finely chopped red onion, 4 chopped green olives and 2 tbsp finely diced cucumber and season with black pepper.

Tuna and caper salad bagel topping

Mix 1 small drained tin of tuna with 2 tbsp mayonnaise.
Add 3 finely chopped spring onions, 2 tsp baby capers, 2 finely chopped cornichons and 1 tbsp flat-leaf parsley, and season.
Use to fill bagels, rolls or bread.
