Beef and broccoli stir-fry

It's good to have a few really quick recipes in the bag so you can always knock up something delicious after work. This easy beef and broccoli stir-fry is also really low calorie so it's a healthy choice aswell.



  • sunflower oil
  • sirloin steak 200g, all fat removed and sliced
  • garlic 1 clove, sliced
  • root ginger a thumb-sized piece, shredded
  • red chillies 2, shredded
  • spring onions 4, shredded
  • broccoli 200g, blanched and halved lengthways
  • soy sauce 2 tbsp
  • sesame oil


  • Step 1

    Heat 1 tbsp sunflower oil in a pan or wok and stir-fry the beef for a couple of minutes. Scoop out, then add the garlic, ginger, chillies and onion and cook for 3-4 minutes.

    Add back the beef with the broccoli, soy and 1 tsp sesame oil. Cook for 2 minutes then serve.
