Steak with grilled peppers and coriander salsa

A quick and mighty, meaty dinner for two. The punchy salsa tastes great on most meat and fish dishes so make a big batch for future meals.



  • fillet steaks 2
  • olive oil
  • ground cumin 1 tsp
  • red pepper thickly sliced
  • yellow pepper thickly sliced

for the salsa

  • cumin 1 tsp
  • green chilli 1, deseeded
onion 1/2
  • coriander handful
  • red wine vinegar 1 tbsp


  • Step 1

    Rub 2 fillet steaks with 1 tsp olive oil and ground cumin, and season. Drizzle the pepper slices with 1 tsp olive oil. griddle the peppers on both sides for a few minutes until tender. Blitz ground cumin, deseeded green chilli, onion, a handful of coriander, red wine vinegar and seasoning in a processor with a little water to make a sauce.

  • Step 2

    Griddle the steaks for 3 minutes on each side. serve with the peppers and sauce.
