Crostini Recipe with Beef

Rare beef and radish crostini

These little steak crostini are flavour bombs, and one of our favourite Christmas (or New Year) party canapés. Elegant, colourful and rich, they're wonderfully served with a bit of fizz



  • sirloin steak 300g
  • horseradish 1 tbsp, freshly grated
  • soft cheese 4 tbsp
  • crostini 24
  • radishes 6, finely sliced
  • olive oil


  • Step 1

    Heat a griddle pan to very hot, rub the steak with olive oil and fry for 2 minutes on each side, or longer if you like. Season and leave to rest. Mix the horseradish with the soft cheese and season. Spread onto the crostini. Thinly slice the steak and put onto the top of the cheese mix. Add a couple of the radish slices to finish.
