The best supper clubs at Wilderness
There’s a Thursday night opening wood-fired banquet, plus a Sunday long-table banquet cooked by Yotam Ottolenghi. Petersham Nurseries, Angela Hartnett’s Café Murano, Patty & Bun and Homeslice will set up home in the field, too, with their feasting restaurants.
Chef’s table at Wilderness
Some of the country’s top chefs will be hosting chef’s tables – Mexican Santiago Lastra, James Lowe of Lyle’s and Sam Buckley from Stockport’s Where The Light Gets In. Swedish Michelin star restaurant Agrikultur will be cooking on the Saturday night using locally-sourced produce they find in the area. The Friday night sees a new collaboration between Lee Tiernan, Merlin Labron-Johnson, Tomos Parry, Robin Gill and Terri Mercieca, where each will cook a course in their signature style.
This year’s street food traders are yet to be announced, but last year saw burgers from Patty & Bun, steamed buns from BAO and slices of salami, rocket and parmesan pizza from Homeslice.
What’s new on the food line up at Wilderness this year?
At The Counter, talented chefs will rotate to cook inspiring dishes while diners sit at the counter and watch. This year sees Som Saa, Quality Chop House and Salon Brixton cooking up a feast for hungry diners.

Spruce up your foraging skills and learn how to create dishes from the wild with cookery school Hunter Gather Cook – think crayfish trapping, mushroom foraging and butchery techniques.
Whether it’s literature or fly fishing you’re after, Wilderness caters for more than just music and food. Theatre shows include cabaret and comedy, while Letters Live will host inspiring conversations from Refinery 29, the RSA and the Economist. A variety of workshops are held across the five days includes life drawing, carpentry and wild singing. If you want to be at one with nature take one of the nature walks or delve into den building.
Children’s activities at Wilderness
For families heading to Wilderness festival there’s a splat art den, soft play area, polka theatre, storystock and pachamama crafts as well as a chance for children to explore the great outdoors on a kids’ overnight camp.
