New ‘Nordic Cities Michelin Guide’ out at last!

The first edition of the Michelin Nordic Cities guide is finally on sale and features two new cities: Aarhus in Denmark and Malmö in Sweden.

It’s finally here! On Friday (February 27, 2015) the long-awaited first edition of Michelin’s Nordic Cities guide launched.

While the most celebrated restaurants in the larger Nordic cities have always appeared in the Main Cities of Europe guide (not least Copenhagen, which won 17 stars among 15 restaurants last year, as well as 12 Bib Gourmands), the Michelin guide has not previously awarded stars to restaurants in Scandinavian cities with fewer than 500,000 residents.

With this dedicated guide to the Scandinavian countries, however, the region’s identity as a ‘go-to’ destination for global gourmands is finally being recognised.
