Easy and fast side dishes are always good to have up your sleeve. This one, makes that everyday veg - the green bean - into a Mediterranean-style accompaniment with a delicious nut butter. To make ahead, just cook the beans, rinse in cold water, then reheat in the almond butter.
Boil or steam the green beans until tender. Heat the butter in a frying pan, add the almonds and garlic and season. Cook until the almonds are golden and the butter is nutty. Discard the garlic, add the beans and toss.
