D.V. Catena wines are sourced from high-altitude vineyards in Mendoza, Argentina, where the award-winning Catena family have been making wine since 1902. The wines are named in honour of Don Domingo Vicente Catena, and made by his granddaughter, Laura Catena, and chief winemaker Alejandro Vigil.
The range presents the famed Argentinian grape, D.V. Catena Malbec, smooth and crammed with blackberry and raspberry flavours, with a touch of cedar and spice; an on-trend Cabernet Franc with bold, black fruits, a touch of mint and plenty of spice; and a Chardonnay packed with ripe fruit and subtle vanilla, with a long and lingering finish and fresh, crisp acidity.
The everyday drinking wines can be found at Tesco and Sainsbury’s, priced at £12 and on offer at £10 during selected periods. Offer dates: Tesco: 1-21 June and 26 May – 15 June Sainsbury’s.
Gaucho serves modern Argentina food with a contemporary global influence. Notably with the best quality steak in the world, premium Black-Angus cattle bred at hand-selected farms from Argentina – the perfect fit for D.V. Catena wines.
This competition closes on 21 June 2021.
