Forge, Cornhill, London: quick restaurant review

Read our quick review of Forge restaurant in Cornhill, London – a cocktail bar, music venue and barbecue restaurant. Try the cider belly pork or Jacob’s ladder with mustard mayonnaise.

On Cornhill, opposite the Bank of England, is Forge, a cocktail bar, music venue and barbecue restaurant. With stripped-back industrial décor, affordable cocktails and bar snacks such as horseradish onion bhaji, it’s not the usual City scene. Sit back and watch the chefs barbecue in the open kitchen as you order starters such as pig and fig terrine, or duck egg and chive mayonnaise; and mains such as cider belly pork, or half a spiced, spit-roast chicken, from ‘the pit’ or ‘the spit’ sections of the menu.
