Cauliflower cheese

Cauli cheese is a perfect thing for a comforting dinner and is really easy to make. Serve this on its own, or share between more of you as a side dish

Ingredients

  • cauliflower 2 mini heads
  • butter 25g
  • flour  25g
  • milk 300ml
  • cheddar 200g
  • parsley to serve

Method

  • Step 1

    Steam the cauliflower until just tender.

  • Step 2

    Melt the butter in a pan then stir in the flour and cook for a few minutes.

  • Step 3

    Gradually add the milk to make a smooth sauce, then stir in the cheddar until melted.

  • Step 4

    Divide the cauliflower in an ovenproof dish and pour over the sauce.

  • Step 5

    Bake in a 200C/fan 180C/gas 6 oven for 30 minutes until golden and bubbling.

  • Step 6

    Sprinkle with parsley.
