Stir-fried spicy beef rice with greens

Quick and easy but packed with flavour, stir-fries are a great option to feed your family in a flash. We use spring greens in this recipe, but you can add more veg when they're out of season, if you like.

Ingredients

  • lean sirloin or frying steak about 250g, trimmed of all fat and cut into thin strips
  • sunflower oil
  • root ginger a thumb-sized piece, shredded
  • chinese five spice 2 tsp
  • spring greens 200g, shredded
  • soy sauce 1 tbsp
  • Tilda Rizazz brown basmati 1 pack, heated according to pack instructions
  • spring onions 4, shredded
  • red chilli 1, shredded

Method

  • Step 1

    Stir-fry the beef in 1 tbsp oil until browned then add the ginger and fry for a minute. Add the five spice, cook for another minute then add the greens with a splash of water and the soy and stir-fry until just tender. Add the rice and toss everything together. Serve in bowls topped with spring onion and chilli.
