Cherry almond crumbles

These individual pots of cherry-deliciousness couldn't be simpler to make, the perfect baking project with the kids. Flaked almonds add a sweet crunch everyone will love.

Ingredients

  • plain flour 150g, whizzed in a food processor with
  • chilled and diced unsalted butter 75g until it looks like breadcrumbs
  • oats 4 tbsp
  • demerara sugar 2 tbsp
  • cherries 500g, stoned and tossed with 3 tbsp caster sugar and 4 tbsp water
  • flaked almonds 4 tbsp

Method

  • Step 1

    Heat the oven to 180c/fan 160c/gas 4. Stir the oats, almonds and demerara sugar into the flour mix.

    Put the cherries into 4 individual ovenproof dishes or cups, then top with crumble mix.

    Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
